{"id":86882,"date":"2025-10-06T11:51:29","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T10:51:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.perceptual-robotics.com\/?p=86882"},"modified":"2025-10-06T11:51:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T10:51:29","slug":"inspecting-in-random-blade-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.perceptual-robotics.com\/es\/inspecting-in-random-blade-positions\/","title":{"rendered":"Inspecting in Random Blade Positions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\ud83d\ude80 A few weeks ago our team completed <\/span><b>56 wind turbine inspections in UK <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">under some very unique conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\ud83e\udeab The site was on <\/span><b>planned downtime with no power<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, meaning turbines were locked in random blade positions. With <\/span><b>Dot technology<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, we successfully inspected turbines stopped in those random angles, while keeping a high quality and perpendicularity and, what is most important,\u00a0 without the client losing a single unit of generation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those not aware, most drone inspections require that the turbine is stopped with one blade up (12 o\u2019clock position) and this can only be done if the wind farm is energised and blades can be positioned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As far as we know, high quality-inspecting in any position isn\u2019t possible with some other solutions in the market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dot\u2019s flexibility allows <\/span><b>inspections to be carried out during low wind conditions, when blade re-positioning is challenging, or during planned substation downtimes.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This avoids additional downtime solely for inspections, saving both time and money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project is a great example of how <\/span><b>flexibility, the right tools, and innovative thinking<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can make the difference for wind operators.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\ude80 A
